Currently, abortion care is legal in Florida through 6 weeks of pregnancy. There are also some other restrictions. For example, if you go to a clinic in Florida, you must first see an abortion provider in person for counseling, then wait 24 hours before having an abortion. If you get abortion pills by mail, there is no waiting period. If you go to a clinic in another state, there may not be a waiting period.

If you’re under 18, Florida law requires providers to tell one of your parents and to get their permission before you can get an abortion at a clinic in the state. But if you cannot or do not want to involve a parent, you can ask a judge for permission to make the decision on your own.
